Step Up Revolution Review

Being a fan of Step up, I would like to write my first review on the latest series...

A movie about dance would excite every one....

In the theatre I was really astonished to see an elderly person sitting next to me and watching the movie....

I was really excited to taste the new stylish and adventurous 2 hr trip.....

The movie is about the change that happened to dance around the world...
Street dancing is taken to another level and is linked to Nike Brand (last step up movie as well- Product placement) with Mob Dance that we see today in shopping malls.

Amazing dance performance.... I really loved the 1st Mob... the dance on car was just superb.... The movie focuses on the social issue of people who has great talents and are wiped out by a investor, who has a dream to build the area and turn the city into a beautiful place by demolishing the existing place.

The dance mob affected by the builders turns against them through Flash mobs in different part of Miami. The movie takes you through the dance linked to art when the Mob enters the art gallery. The choreography will definitely take your breath away...
The best of the moves comes in the Museum shots and at the escalator..

The mob faces internal problems as the girl enters the life of one of the co-founder of the mob, and the girl being the daughter of the builder. After a short split and arrest by police, they get together and call more dancers from Pirates.

The final dance makes you dance... choreography and the story line go hand in hand creating a lovely mood......

Loved it....

Run Baby Run Review

RBR aka Run BAby Run

A Comedy-Suspense thriller!!!!

The movie is about a journalist and a well known camera man- in specific Reuters sting operator and it is our own Lalettan....

At some angle Amala Paul looks like Deepika Padukone and in some Priyanka Chopra... At in some angle she looks terrible.. The Make up too has limitations.... But as the movie progresses it fades.... Her acting skills too needs improve as she is acting with Lalettan and Biju Menon... She stand no where....

The movie takes you through the events happening during a string operation of a Kerala Politician and a Business Man for a monitory and Political gain for them respectively...

Biju Menon repeats his skills in comedy and handles serious situations elegantly just like ordinary....

The romance between Amala paul and Lalettan is similiar to Baba Kalyani, GrandMaster & Spirit....

Overall the movie is a full entertainer with a Good script and good Direction....
Some flaws here n there will be ignored and it will go on to Run for some time housefull.....

Thandavam Review

Vikram's Thaandavam is not glamorous but it is rich. It does not have masala elements yet it is entertaining. It has a usual filmi-story but a realistic one. In one word, it is a 'brilliant' film. The highlight of the movie is the performance of Vikram and the biggest drawback of the movie is the running length.

On January 1, 2011, a bomb is planted in Tent Bridge, UK, killing hundreds of people. In the next few scenes, blind Vikram commits a couple of murders. But he is not what you think, as he is a man with a good heart, who doesn't even like to trouble an ant which bites him. However, there is a secret woman, who meets him at public place occasionally and says something to him. However, there is also Sarah, the model, who comes to his life by chance and fells for him instantly for his kind nature.

In the next stage, we are told that Shiva Kumar (Vikram),a high profile officer in RAW (Research and Analysis Wing), marries Meenakshi (Anushka Shetty). But there is no love-hate relationship in the beginning and they decide to become good friends before considering themselves as a husband and wife. At this juncture, a nuclear flow chart, a weapon to mass destruction, goes missing and Shiva and his colleague, good friend Sarath (Jagapathi Babu) start investigating the case. But they fail in their mission which cost them the life of Meenakshi. What happens next should be seen on-screen.

There is no exaggeration in any of the characters in Thaandavam. The story has a natural flow and it has realistic feel in most parts of the movie. Labelled as an action movie, there are no unnecessary fight sequences. The film has a wonderful story blended with action and romance. It also has good comedy scenes.

On the flip side, the running length of the film might test your patience. Like Mugamoodi, the slow progress of the story may play spoilsport. In the first half, there are some boring moments and the placement of some songs, which appear justifiable, will irritate you. Nonetheless, Thaandavam is a breath of fresh air at a time when most actions movies only portray the heroism and made with three-fights-four-songs formula.

Vikram is excellent in his role of a blind, who uses echolocation to detect objects in his environment. His actions and acting are natural. He has proved again that he comes out with an extremely brilliant performance when he is given a challenging role. But his fans will miss his lavish avatars and punch dialogues in this movie. Anushka Shetty has given best and Amy Jackson is charming. But Jagapathi Babu is not that impressive. However, Santhanam as a cab driver brings smile on the audience when ever he appears on-screen.

Technically, Nirav Shah's cinematography is sharp. GV Prakash Kumar's 'Oru Paadhi Kadhav...' and 'Uyirin uyire...' songs are good. Editor Anthony's scissors could have been sharper to reduce the length of the movie.

Verdict: Thaandavam is a seriously interesting affair.

Naan Movie Review

Guys.. Therz a movie called "NAAN" which released in Tamil last week.
Music composer Vijay Antony turns actor in the movie. It has been directed by a Cameraman Jeevan Sankar (previously assistant of late director Jeeva).

Considering the fact that its a new director, totally new actors it is a good watch :) ... 3/5 for entertainment factor with 4/5 for acting and cinematography.

You might not jump out of your seats out of excitement but am sure you are going to be glued to it. Best part of the movie is that it makes you feel at some point that Killing someone is logical.

Those who enjoy bit serious movies, In case If you are running out of options to visit the Theatre, THIS ONE MIGHT BE A GOOD OPTION FOR YOU.. CHeeeeRS :-D
